Lady Gaga reveals her new stunning look
On Valentine’s Day, director Todd Philips took to Instagram to share the first look at the upcoming movie, which is titled “Folie à Deux,” the same name as Lady Gaga’s post. The photo depicts a stunning image of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn holding the Joker’s face with an expression of surprise, while Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker sports a sly grin. Both Lady Gaga and Philips shared the same image on their Instagram accounts, generating even more excitement and anticipation for the highly anticipated film.
Initially intended as a standalone film, the R-rated 2019 movie Joker exceeded all expectations. It has become a commercial success grossing over a billion dollars worldwide. The movie got several awards, including the prestigious Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. It received 11 Academy Award nominations, ultimately winning two. According to reports, Lady Gaga will play a character similar to DC Comics character Harley Quinn. This character, like Harley Quinn, is a psychiatrist who becomes enamored with the Joker and ultimately adopts his shocking ways. It’s worth noting that Margot Robbie previously portrayed Harley Quinn in films such as Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey. The theatrical release of the movie is scheduled for September 9, 2024.
